Product Testing

At Little Bellies, we are committed to providing safe, wholesome, and high-quality foods for little ones everywhere.

Heavy metals are naturally occurring in the soil and water. The FDA has initiated an action plan called Closer to Zero to establish thresholds and understanding the concerns around heavy metals. The main goal is to reduce dietary exposure to contaminants to as low as possible, while maintaining access to nutritious foods. Fruits and vegetables can absorb traces of them heavy metals as they grow, whether that be on a large farm or on your own vegetable patch.

Our commitment to you is that all our organic ingredients, recipes, and suppliers have been specially screened and selected to ensure they are appropriate and safe for growing little bellies. We carry out frequent testing for heavy metals to adhere to best-in-class international standards for appropriate limits to ensure they are a safe choice for your child.

In accordance with the new California’s AB899 regulation, heavy metal testing results will be available for products produced on or after January 1, 2025.
