Gingerbread Man Word Play
Use a Little Bellies Gingerbread Man to assist with learning placement words such as “on”, “off”, “up”, “down”, “over” and “under”. This activity will help build children’s vocabulary relating to placements. Using a delicious morsel of food such as steamed sweet potato, have the gingerbread man lying on the plate and model putting the vegetables “on” and “off” the gingerbread man and so on! If they’re ready, you can offer the morsels to your child so you can label the actions they do with the vegetables for added learning.
